The Fast Way
A love letter to UPA Animation
The Fast Way began as an original shortfilm project co-created with Isabella Carolina Hernández during our animation studies. Since then, the project has continued evolving independently into an animated tv series that brings slapstick comedy to life in a fresh and inventive way.
It was selected for Cartoon Springboard 2023 and later showcased at Animario 2024, where it received strong feedback from industry professionals. The goal now is to keep pushing its humor, style, and characters even further.
Sinopsis
After the death of the founder of a peculiar invention company, his son Drew struggles to keep the family legacy alive. Things take a turn when his father’s former business partner, far more corporate and ambitious, steps in and starts reshaping the company. One of his first moves is hiring Olivia, a brilliant young inventor determined to prove she’s the best on the team.
What begins as a professional collaboration quickly turns into a clash of egos. Drew defends handcrafted ideas with soul, inherited from his father, while Olivia pushes for efficiency, innovation, and technical perfection. Every assignment spirals into sabotage, rivalry, and mechanical disasters.
Neighbors by chance and rivals by nature, Drew and Olivia don’t realize it yet, but their constant competition is the only thing keeping the company, and their inventions, truly alive.
